Today's post is all about one of my favorite staples: The Blazer. When I first started working right out of college, I had this hang-up about looking "professional." I ditched my contacts for glasses. I bought multiples of the same button-down in various solid colors. I wore boring shoes. It was a sad sad part of my fashion life cycle.

Then one day I realized I didn't need to look (and feel) boring to come across as professional. I just had to look put together and confident. And nothing could make me more feel confident than having an outfit I could be proud of (in the office or out).

The blazer does just that. It helps tie everything together, looks good with jeans or slacks, and is totally easy and effortless to put on. Basically, it's like that good guy friend who's in love with you (but whom you'll never sleep with). Always there for you, willing to give everything without ever asking for anything in return (poor guy really should move on).
